In 1775, America’s fight for independence began with one idea: No Taxation Without Representation. By 1776, our nation was founded on the belief that all who pay taxes deserve a voice in their government. Today, 16-year-olds work and pay taxes but are denied that same right. If we are taxed without a vote, isn’t that the very injustice America was founded to resist?
Vote16 is a campaign dedicated to advocating for voting rights for all 16-year-olds. While society may believe 16 is too young, we believe intelligence defies age. If teenagers can drive, pay taxes, and contribute to society, they should be allowed to vote.
We work, we pay taxes, and we care about the future — but we don’t get a say in it. Signing our petition is the first step to changing that. Add your name and stand with us in calling for the vote at 16.
